A redrawn raven — black feathers, the moon, and willow.
This tattoo design is a redrawn version of a raven piece I had previously created in a blackwork style. The composition brings together the bird’s dark feathers, the moon, and swaying willow branches to hold both the atmosphere of night and a sense of movement within a single scene.
Ravens feel like highly intelligent birds with a strong presence. There is even a saying that they remember both kindness and harm, and each time I draw one, I’m reminded of how striking they are in appearance as well.
In this piece, I wanted to focus on the sculptural beauty of the black feathers and the quiet movement that remains within the composition.
