The Guardians dragon design realized as a full sleeve — black and grey with red flame, wrapped around the arm.
This full sleeve piece centers on a dragon.
From the beginning, the composition was planned around the flow of the shoulder, upper arm, elbow, and forearm.
Before the tattoo, I adjusted the design to the client’s actual arm size and shape, so the dragon could wrap around the arm and continue naturally downward.
The coiled body and dense scales were kept strong around the shoulder, while the movement carries through the lower arm with waves.
The red flame was used as an accent to add tension without interrupting the overall flow.
I wanted the dragon’s movement to come alive as the shape of the arm changes.
