A quiet scene beneath the pine.
Seeing deer in person left a very different impression from seeing water deer.
Their larger presence, quiet movement, and graceful nature made them feel almost mysterious to me.
In this piece, I placed the male deer as if he is keeping watch, while the female deer rests peacefully below.
I wanted the calm expression and the watchful expression to exist together in the same scene.
Drawing a family together is something I truly enjoy.
