I’m Haesol, a Seoul tattoo artist of ten years. Minimalist fine-line work is deceptively hard: one clean, unbroken line and nothing extra. It’s the calmest first tattoo — a small ankle piece, a quiet symbol — done thin so it stays elegant for years. Custom to you. By appointment; booking via Instagram @tattooist_haesol.

International visitors: full English consultation available at onsil.ink.

Minimalism leaves nowhere to hide. With no shading to cover for it, the line has to be right the first time — fine, even and unbroken. That single requirement is the whole skill.

Small placements — inner ankle, wrist, behind the ear — are popular precisely because they’re low-impact on daily life and high on meaning. I keep them genuinely minimal rather than quietly adding ‘just a little more’.

It’s the first tattoo I most often recommend: a short symbol or a few fine elements, sized and placed so it ages cleanly. We design it from your idea, not a sheet on the wall.

FAQ

Where is the studio?

I’m based in the Konkuk creative area of Gwangjin-gu, Seoul — a short walk from Konkuk University Station. Easy from Seongsu-dong and anywhere on Line 2 or Line 7. Message me on Instagram @tattooist_haesol for the exact address before your appointment.

Is fine-line good for a first tattoo?

It’s the one I recommend most — small, low-impact, meaningful. The craft is in keeping the line clean and not overcomplicating it.

Will a thin line hold up over years?

If it’s done fine and even, yes. The risk with minimal work is adding too much; I keep it restrained so it stays elegant.

How do I book?

Instagram @tattooist_haesol or Kakao open chat with idea, placement and size. Seoul, by appointment, same-day sometimes possible; ~2-week aftercare.
